World Water Day 2018 was a big day in Kavieng, New Ireland – Papua New Guinea. All five schools working with Live & Learn in the WASH in Schools program participated, with a combined march from the beachside market up into a special presentation site in town. The different schools prepared speeches, debates and made special sculptures – especially H2O, the chemical description for water.
A special highlight was the performance of a song written by a Live & Learn staff member in New Ireland. The song talks about the importance of water conservation in urban communities. It was performed enthusiastically by students from the parter schools.
